HALLOWEEN FIELD DAY
Sunday, October 27, 2002
11 am - 4 pm
Cost: $7.00 child (members) ~ $10.00 child (non-members)

Farm Events:
1. Blueberry Field of Horrors (Do this 1st)
2. Pumpkin Painting (Do this 2nd)
3. Play with and brush our farm animals, including goats, sheep, alpacas and quackers!
4. “The Hay Line” - Coonamessett Farm’s very own version of the hay ride!
5. Games:
~ Pin the Hat on the Witch
~ Others
6. Crafts:
~ Indian Corn Necklace
~ Pumpkin Seed Tambourine
~ Decorate your trick-o-treat bag (to use on Halloween night)
7. There are also several fall crops to pick (leeks, greens, lettuce, pumpkins, etc.)

Special Events:
1. Costume Judging @ 2 pm (Judge Ron)
2. Face painting by the “Funtastic Painter” Valerie Cameron ($3.-5.00 per face)
3. Nutrition Educator Susan Bourque will be preparing healthy and fun snacks for kids

Food & Snacks:
~ Every participating child is entitled to one free brownie and box juice. Please request the
snack when you are ready.
~ The café is open for lunch and seating is available upstairs and on the back deck. We serve a wide range of soups, sandwiches, salads, pizzas, quiches and other goodies. Check out our daily specials board!

AUTUMNAL HARVEST DINNER

$20.00 per person

6 - 7 pm - Cocktails (B.Y.O.) -Cheese, crackers & hors d’oeuvres served
7 pm - Seating for Dinner

Menu:

Soup: Mushroom Barley & Herb (fresh herbs and barley in a vegetable broth)

Salad: Coonamessett’s Field Greens (with homemade parmesan croutons)

Entree:
Spiced Pumpkin Puree (organically grown pumpkins seasoned with nutmeg and cinnamon)

New England Cranberry Walnut Stuffing (hearty wheat bread with local cranberries, walnuts and sage)

Roasted Root Vegetable Medley (oven roasted sweet potatoes, parsnips, carrots and turnips dressed with a creamy mustard sauce)

Autumnal Wild Rice (wild and brown rice with carrots, onions, and celery sauteed in brown butter and laced with a mixture of thyme, parsley and sage)

served with: Buttermilk Born Bread Biscuits

dessert of your choice: Maple Walnut Cream Cake or Caramel Apple Tart

beverages: Coffee, Herbal Teas and Iced Tea

4th ANNUAL ARTISAN'S FAIR
Saturday, November 9, 2002
10 am - 4 pm
FREE!

* All artisans and crafters are welcome to participate in this fair - we are still taking reservations for tables.
* The public is invited to see what wonderful arts & crafts are being created by our local artisans.
* Come enjoy the farm and take a stroll around the farm during this wonderful time of year!

SUSHI WORKSHOP

*Back by popular demand, the second farm sushi workshop will feature the same hands- on experience and home-grown fun as the last.
* You will receive a sushi making kit, instruction and have an opportunity to make your very own maki’s.
