Sea Scallop Dredge Finfish Excluder

Coonamessett Farm is currently using several New Bedford commercial scallop vessels to develop and demonstrate means to reduce finfish bycatch in the sea scallop fishery. The project entails designing and testing of gear modifications, underwater video documentation, and analysis of the economic implications of bycatch reduction.
