School Tours at Coonamessett Farm

Children today are disconnected from their source
of food and fiber.One way to bridge this gap is through a visit to a working farm. Coonamessett Farm's knowledgable staff
welcomes the opportunity to show off our farm to school groups.

Five greenhouses with demonstration hydroponic and aquaculture production

Various types of farm animals including alpacas, goats, sheep, donkeys, chickens, &
ducks.

Ten acres of pick your own fruit & vegetable production.

A cafe serving hot & cold foods for your enjoyment.
A typical 2-hour farm
tour for kindergarten-grade 4 will include
10:00- A welcome and age appropriate farm
orientation.
10:30- Learn and observe plants growing in the field and a tour of the hydroponic
greenhouses.
11:00- Visit and learn about the farm's animals.
11:30-
Hands-on activity.
12:00- Lunch at the farm:You can bring your own and picnic before leaving.
