LITTLE SPROUTS
Kid's Garden at the Farm
Summer 2008
This exciting hands-on program for children 4 through 10 will focus on gardening and
activities at a real working farm. The children will plant, maintain, and harvest their very own garden at the farm,
filled with a variety of vegetables, herbs, fruits and flowers. We will learn about organic gardening methods, bugs,
worms, and other garden critters, composting, and much more! Our classes willl include garden and farm related crafts,
stories, games, visits with the farm animals, and other special farm activities.
Classes will run for 10 weeks during the month of June, July and August, allowing
the children to participate in the joy of growing plants from seed through harvest while experiencing Summer at the farm.
Age appropriate classes will be available for either morning or afternoon sessions.
Each class will meet once per week for 90 minutes.
Program fees includes all gardening tools and supplies, all craft materials, and a
special "Little Sprouts Day" at the Children's Museum, an end-of-Summer harvest celebration party...
and the children will be bringing home what they grow in their garden!!
Cost per child for the 10 week program:
